What's the format?

With so many formats and programs available to computer users, it’s not always easy to know which kind of file is needed for a particular job. Although we may be able to view most files that we receive, not all of them are suitable for reproduction.

To help us help you, we’ve put together this short guide to understanding how we would like you to send your artwork.

If for any reason you are unable to supply your artwork in any of the formats listed, we will attempt, where possible to redraw it which will incur a charge.

*We support both Mac and PC platforms.

Below are the four applications we use here at The Great Branding Company. These are the most preferred way we’d like you to send us your artwork.

Adobe Illustrator (All versions):

Ai/eps. These are by far the most desirable formats we would prefer. If your artwork has been created in this application you can feel sure that reproduction will be 100% no matter what size. ALL FONTS SHOULD BE OUTLINED AND ANY IMAGES ARE TO BE EMBEDDED BEFORE YOU SEND

Adobe Acrobat (All versions):

PDF. Your PDF should be created using the high print quality settings and fonts should be embedded to avoid font substitution.

Adobe Photoshop (All versions):

psd/tiff/jpg/bmp/eps. You can send your artwork in any of these formats provided that it is the correct size and the resolution is a minimum of 300dpi (800dpi for Bitmap files). PLEASE NOTE, THESE FORMATS MAY NOT ALWAYS BE SUITABLE FOR REPRODUCTION.

Adobe Indesign (All versions):

indd/qxp. Your artwork needs to include all images and fonts.

Colour

Whenever possible, please provided any Pantone (PMS) colour references.
